Stone Technologies is pleased to announce the addition of Andrew Meier as a Sr. Systems Engineer. His background and experience working in a plant environment, implementing process and control systems, will be a strong addition to Stone’s engineering staff. His location in the Seattle area will also better serve Stone’s clients in that region.
Andrew has worked over fourteen years designing, implementing, and supporting processing equipment and control systems in the food and beverage industry. Through his career, Andrew has led major projects working for two Fortune 500 companies in this industry. These projects have included designing and starting up green-field processing plants, replacement of legacy proprietary MES/MOM systems, and standardization of control system platforms across all company sites. His responsibilities have included corporate process engineer, project manager, plant engineer and controls program manager. Through these projects and roles Andrew has gained extensive knowledge in HMI and PLC software programming, batching system design, MES/MOM architecture, MES/MOM performance and qualification testing, custom training and system support programs.
Andrew is a resident of Issaquah, Washington and earned a BS in Chemical Engineering from Manhattan College. Andrew enjoys spending time with his wife and two children. He also enjoys hiking, home remodeling, and snowboarding.
